Series 2 : Mark Making with Mono Printing

Based in the idyllic location of the Vale of Belvoir, Taylor + Co offers a beautiful & welcoming space to explore creativity & social connections.
The second in this series of courses still focuses on drawing but introduces the technique of mono printing. An exciting and effective process where one unique image is created at a time.
As Artists, practicing designers & Educators for over 20 years, both Jane Thomson (MA) & Nicola Taylor (MA RCA) offer expertise & personalised tuition in the subject of Art and Design.
Whether an accomplished artist or embarking for the first time on this creative journey, Jane and Nicola encourage & celebrate the development of the creative voice in all students they meet.
This workshop consists of a morning & afternoon session of printmaking
which will run either side of a vegetarian lunch.
All art materials are provided so all you need to bring is yourself.
At the end of the workshop, you will take away all work completed during the session and the knowledge of how to continue further exploration at home.

Workshop plan:
11.00 - welcome tea/coffee
11.00 - 12.30 - Morning session – warm up drawing exercises & learning the process of mono printing. Exploring and developing these techniques through drawing tasks.
12.30 -1.15 Lunch
1.15 - 3.00 - Afternoon session – Expanding upon and inspired by the techniques learnt during the mornings workshop. Developing your style by producing a collection of mono prints.
